Monthly Favourites: November 2017

It’s time to share my favourite things from the month again already! Well, I say already but November seems to have slowed the pace a bit and has gone slower than October did. But that’s OK, more time for Christmas shopping.

Anyway, here’s a few highlights from the month…

celebrating: my birthday! Yep, I have turned the ripe old age of 28 and I I had a lovely birthday which consisted of a meal out with family on Friday night and a day out shopping with my mum on the Saturday (the big day!). I got some lovely presents too and I am feeling v v #blessed of course.

getting on with: more ski shopping. The ski shopping extravaganza never seems to end! However, taking advantage of the Black Friday deals at Go Outdoors and Trespass have definitely helped things move along! Now all I need is a few more base layers, some gloves and ski socks. My favourite ski purchase has to be this super cute mid layer from Trespass I managed to nab for under £12 (or to be more precise, I asked my mum kindly if she could nab it as we don’t have a store near us!)

drinking: ALL of the hot chocolate. I am utterly in love with the Costa billionaire’s hot chocolate and I think I’ve had at least 4 since they were released. But when I need something to warm me up at home, it’s GOT to be this amazing Clipper hot chocolate that has just the right amount of froth.

watching: the gilmore girls. yeah, I’m still into it and it’s still due to my love for Luke and seething hatred for Dean. Some things never change, eh?

doing: christmas shopping. Yep. Although I don’t really get into the festive spirit until December hits, I have made some headway with the gift buying! I still have some way to go but if I get it all done too early I end up picking up extra bits and then BYE BYE MONEY.

ordering: gorgeous prints from Dot Creates. If you haven’t ordered a print from the lovely Danielle, are you even a blogger? She ran a 20% off discount over the Black Friday weekend and I picked up this one and this one to perk up the office and flatlays!

going to: the gym. I went to the gym three times in one week. THREE. I need to balance out my obsession with eating bad food at the time of year.

So, what made your November neat?

Luke was the biggest reason I watched Gilmore Girls all the way through! I found Dean quite boring (and am hopelessly in love with Jess, but that’s a whole other thing), but I’m really curious at to why you hate him?! Did you hate him the entire time, or was it the whole marriage-and-affair thing that tipped you over?

In all fairness, I jumped into GG late and it was when Rory and Dean were first together and I hated him because he was straight up emotionally abusive towards Rory and it did my head in that no one was calling him out on it! The affair thing just made me sad for Rory that Dean basically took advantage. I can’t believe I’m now so emotionally invested in a show that used to annoy me!

I really didn’t like the Billionaire’s Hot Chocolate – I prefer Costa’s Mint Hot Choc! Well done on getting your Christmas shopping done – I’ve got most of mine done already, and it feels great to be organised!
